During Western Global Oil’s initial due diligence, an asset modernization and monetization plan is formulated by our team of engineers, geologists, geophysicists, and operators. After examining the project with the most sophisticated technology available, we look to implement alternative power sources, cutting edge monitoring systems, water management, and biodegradable materials for expense reduction and to integrate our facilities with the environment.
Clean water is a global concern and Western Global Oil is at the forefront in the industry promoting the reduction of operational consumption and enhancing filtration to recycle water for safe alternative uses. Water and energy are interrelated, and both are crucial for society, economic development and the environment. In order to protect the environment, Western Global Oil strives to utilize the most current innovative water filtration systems to manage new projects and current facilities. We focus on using non-potable water and filtering it carefully so that much of it can be recycled once the process is complete. The filtration process focuses on using both physical and unique chemical approaches to create efficient water recycle and reclamation operations.
Western Global Oil understands that our climate is changing and fossil fuels are a finite resource. In addition, volatile oil prices and environmental concerns have fueled interest in expanding the use of alternative energy sources. We support the use of alternative energy sources worldwide. When possible in our projects, we replace the current grid or diesel generated power supply with cleaner alternative energy sources. Solar power can help alleviate local utility systems’ capacity problems, especially during peak electricity demand periods. Photovoltaic cells made from silicon alloys can convert sunlight into other forms of energy, such as heat and electricity. Our solar units are only modules and components with the highest international standards, such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Factory Mutual Research (FM) listings in the US, and approval by the Commission of the European Communities (CEC) in Europe.
Natural gas generators provide meet the most demanding U.S. federal and state emissions guidelines. These generators can operate on multiple fuel sources including wellhead natural gas, pipeline natural gas, and liquid propane eliminating any flare from the well sites. Not only is alternative power good for our environment, we find that it can provide significant long term reductions in fuel and maintenance costs, which increases our profitability.
Western Global Oil utilizes the latest Seismic tools to increase production and reduce costs, 3D and 4D seismic imagery. Seismic is a tool that bounces sound waves off underground rock structures to reveal possible crude oil– and natural gas–bearing formations. Seismologists use ultrasensitive devices called geophones to record the sound waves as they echo within the earth. By studying the echoes, petroleum geologists seek to calculate the depth and structures of buried geologic formations. This analysis may helps identify oil and gas reservoirs hidden beneath the earth’s surface.
Seismic imaging also helps our teams optimize drilling before it actually starts. Our geophysicists estimate that 89 percent of well issues can be traced back to poor subsurface modeling and associated well planning. A precise seismic image and subsurface model can ensure major savings during every phase of operations.
